just north of Tampa Bay Downs, The Eagles features two 18 hole golf courses
surrounded by more than 30 lakes, ponds and canals. The Lakes course sports
an abundance of water hazards, elevated greens and many fairway bunkers.
Large oaks are scattered throughout. Designed by Ron Garl and Gary Koch,
The Forest Course features the signature island-green sixth hole which
rivals the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass. These two outstanding
championship courses are kept in "tournament condition" year-round.
Home course of LPGA Rookie of the Year Beth Bauer, The Eagles has all
the amenities and ambience of a private club: the latest GPS system, lounge,
canopied terrace and restaurant with panoramic views. Forest: Lakes: The
Eagles Golf Club boasts 36 of the most challenging and scenic golf holes
in the Tampa Bay area. These two outstanding championship layouts are
kept in "tournament condition" year-round. The Forest, designed
by Ron Garl and Gary Koch, is the newer of the two. The Signature hole
is a beautiful but dangerous par 3 featuring a green protected by water
on three sides. As its name implies, much of this course winds through
an impressive pine forest. The Lakes course sports an abundance of water
hazards, elevated greens and many fairway bunkers. Large oaks are scattered
throughout. The Eagles is one of the only area courses to feature the
latest GPS system from Shortgrass Technologies, which provides golfers
with a 10.4" full color, flat panel display in each cart showing
a detailed graphic of each hole, the cart's position, accurate yardage
to the stick (not just the center of the green) and tips on playing the
course by the Pro. The newly expanded clubhouse is beautiful, with award
winning food and impeccable service.
